We earn commission from some of the brands we recommend. Here's exactly how that works, and what it means for you.
The short version
Some links on Kays Bra Finder are affiliate links. If you click through and buy something, we receive a small commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly.
We only recommend brands we'd point a friend toward. Commission rates do not influence which brands appear here.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a regular link with a tracking code attached. When you click it, the retailer can tell you came from our site. If you make a purchase within a set window (usually 24 hours to 30 days), we receive a percentage of the sale as commission.
Commission rates in lingerie typically range from 5% to 15%. On a £50 bra, that means we might earn between £2.50 and £7.50, paid by the retailer out of their margin, not added to your bill.
Which networks and brands we work with
We participate in the following affiliate programs:
- Awin: [list of brands you've joined, e.g. Bravissimo, Figleaves, Boux Avenue]
- Webgains: [list of brands]
- Direct programs: [list any direct partnerships]
This list is updated as we add or remove partners. The brands featured on our brand recommendations page are clearly shown, and any text or button link to a partner retailer is an affiliate link unless otherwise noted.
How we choose what to recommend
Our editorial process is straightforward:
- We choose brands based on fit quality, size range, and customer experience, the things that actually matter when you're trying to find a bra that works.
- We do not accept payment from brands in exchange for inclusion. Sponsored content, when it appears, is clearly marked as such.
- We sometimes earn higher commission from one brand than another. This does not affect ranking or which brands we feature.
- If we mention a brand we genuinely don't recommend, we say so, even if they have an affiliate program.
How affiliate links are marked
To comply with UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance, we mark affiliate content in the following ways:
- Affiliate links use the HTML attribute
rel="sponsored", which Google and search engines recognise as a paid relationship. - Pages or sections containing affiliate links carry a clear, visible disclosure.
- Newsletter emails that contain affiliate links say so at the top.
- Sponsored content (where a brand has paid us specifically to write about them) is labelled "Sponsored" and is editorially separate from our affiliate-supported recommendations.
What this means for you
- You pay nothing extra. Affiliate commission is paid by the retailer, not added to your purchase price.
- You're not obligated. You can buy from any retailer: directly, via search, via our links, or anywhere else.
- Cookies may be set. Clicking an affiliate link will typically set a cookie on your device that lets the retailer attribute the sale to us. This is standard across the affiliate industry.
Why we use affiliates
Running this site costs money: domain registration, hosting, the time to write and maintain content. Affiliate income lets us keep the calculator and content free for everyone, with no paywalls and minimal advertising. It's the most direct way for someone who finds the site useful to support what we do, without paying anything out of pocket.
If you'd rather not use affiliate links, you can always go directly to a brand's website by typing it into your browser. We won't be offended.
